The "Classic" vole repeller is supplied WITHOUT the special trap cartridges (calibre 9 x 17). The vole repeller is one of the most effective ways to quickly get rid of these pesky rodents from gardens, beds and properties. Easy to use and highly effective, our vole repellers are successful even through several centimetres of soil. 9 x 17 calibre (yellow) special cartridges are used.

Vole or mole?
The mole is protected under the Federal Species Protection Ordinance. Only in exceptional cases (at sports grounds or similar) is control permitted with a special licence.

Recognise vole infestation in 4 steps:
1. inspect heaps of earth: must be elongated and flat
2. check the depth of the burrow: are relatively straight and close to the surface
3. check the diameter of the passage: oval, approx. 7-9cm high and 5cm wide
4. still unclear? Carry out a burrowing test: an open passage will be closed again in 2-5 hours

Really that bad?
The large vole (also known as the earth mouse or earth rat) has a reproduction rate of 1:10, which means that if you have an infestation on your property, the number of rodents will increase tenfold in a year. It should therefore not be underestimated how quickly a single mound can multiply.

Use a shot trap in 5 steps:
1. minimise inherent odour: Wear gloves and rub with soil on site
2. locate a straight tunnel: approx. 10-20cm long using a stick
3. dig a hole: should be slightly deeper than the passage, avoids not triggering
4. secure the shot trap with the red bracket and load with cartridge
5. insert the trap in the direction of the aisle and press it down with earth, then release the safety catch

We recommend a sign and, if necessary, a cover such as a basket or bucket in the vicinity of pets.

Tip for the first time: voles are very sensitive to the weather - therefore expose a new trap to the weather for some time (e.g. rub with soil on site).

Tip on the period: the best periods for vole control are late autumn, as long as the ground is open, and early spring, before the voles start to breed.
