Safety Notice!
Most AS tyres are marked with:
“Warning – Never exceed 35 PSI when seating beads.”
This means the tyre must never be inflated above 2.5 bar (35 PSI). If the beads are not seated correctly at 2.5 bar, release the air, if necessary break the bead, correct the tyre seating, lubricate again and re-inflate.
Only after the beads are seated correctly should the specified operating tyre pressure be set. It is dangerous to attempt to force the beads into position using air pressure. Inflation pressures above 2.5 bar can cause the tyre bead (or even the rim) to rupture with explosive force, resulting in serious or fatal injuries.
