Universal cultivator SAPHIR TerraStar 3-300 S – After harvesting cereals, oilseed rape or grain legumes, targeted post-harvest management is crucial to reliably control volunteer seeds, grass weeds and root weeds. The three-beam TerraStar 3-300 achieves a shallow, full-surface cut that stimulates volunteer cereals to germinate and removes existing vegetation. Perennial weeds such as creeping thistle can also be effectively weakened by repeated cutting.

Features and benefits

• Thanks to the 800 mm frame height and generous clearance, the TerraStar 3-300 effortlessly handles large quantities of straw, catch crops or organic fertilisers. Residues are incorporated evenly and decomposition is promoted.
• The TerraStar 3-300 reliably eliminates compaction and wheel ruts. Harmfully compacted zones can be specifically broken up and deeply loosened – for healthy root growth and better water supply. Thanks to the optional hydraulic working depth adjustment, the cultivation depth can be conveniently adapted to changing conditions at any time.
• The large beam spacing and high frame clearance ensure optimum material flow – even when incorporating frost-killed catch crops or large quantities of organic matter.
• The TerraStar 3-300 has a three-beam design. A tine line spacing of 293 mm and the high frame clearance ensure excellent throughput even in difficult conditions.
• The frame made of round tubes reduces the build-up of soil and plant residues, makes cleaning easier and minimises the carry-over of weed and grass weed seeds to other fields. Mounting is via three-point linkage with coupling points for category 2 and 3.
• The adjustable share angle allows either a flat, full-surface cut or reliable penetration into the soil even in dry conditions.
• For maximum flexibility, numerous share variants are available that are suitable for shallow as well as medium-deep or deep cultivation.
• The levelling discs adjust automatically when the working depth is changed. The distance to the last row of tines is also adjusted so that the soil settles sufficiently in front of the levelling tools.
• The outer edge discs are rubber-mounted and adjustable in angle – for a uniform work result in all conditions.
• For reconsolidation, Saphir offers a wide range of proven trailing rollers. The depth is adjusted conveniently and hydraulically from the cab.
