Agricultural Tyres

In general, a distinction is made between bias-ply tyres and radial tyres.

Bias-Ply Tyres

The carcass cords run diagonally and criss-cross at an angle of 30–40° from bead to bead.

Advantages:

• Better grip on sloped terrain
• Generally more resistant to sidewall damage
• Lower purchase price

Radial Tyres

The carcass cords run at a 90° angle to the centre line from bead to bead.

Advantages:

• Higher traction performance
• Improved driving comfort
• Higher load capacities (generally) at higher speeds
• Air pressure can be adjusted more flexibly
• Higher tread lugs possible
• Better price-performance ratio and longer service life
