Trailing rollers SAPHIR 3,00m Krümlerwalze – All our implements and machines are sandblasted after welding and powder-coated in a two-coat process. The coating thickness of primer and top coat is 60-80 µm each. This creates a robust, weatherproof and at the same time smooth surface with a total coating thickness of 120-160 µm. Features and benefits

• The major disadvantage of galvanised implements is their sensitivity to acidic and alkaline substances. The further a material deviates from pH 7 (neutral), the more sensitive a galvanised implement reacts.
• In agriculture, silage and manure, among others, are well below a pH value of 7. The coating of galvanised implements used for silage removal or mucking out is therefore quickly attacked by these acidic substances – resulting in rusty spots and increased wear after a short period of use.
• Materials such as lime, cement or fertiliser generally have a pH value higher than 7. They are therefore alkaline and attack the galvanising in a similar way to silage or manure. Here too, rusty spots quickly appear on the implement, leading to greater and faster wear of the implement.
• Powder coating does not have these weaknesses, which is why our powder-coated implements can be used in the application areas mentioned without problems, more versatilely and with a far longer service life.
