The double-edged screw extractor represents a new generation in the removal of broken screws or threaded bolts from threaded holes. The extractor has 4 cutting edges, whereby only the two opposite cutting edges engage in the material to be extracted. This technology allows it to be used for both right-hand and left-hand threads.
Function: A centre punch is used to centre the part to be removed and then drilled out with the relevant drill bit. The screw extractor is driven into the hole so that the cutting edges penetrate firmly into the part to be removed. Using a spanner or tap spanner (size 1), the screw extractor is now turned out of the threaded hole to the right or left according to the thread. After unscrewing, the dismantled part is removed from the screw extractor.
