Pressure accumulator filling device - Set
The test and filling device is used to test and set the pre-filling pressure of bladder, piston and diaphragm accumulators. The device is suitable for the connections 5/8", 7/8", VG 8 and for all commercially available accumulators with M28x1.5 filling connection.
The complete test and filling unit consists of:
- Test and filling unit for connection M28x1.5 with hexagon socket Filling hose approx. 2.5 m
- Adapter for gas valves 7/8" - 14 UNF
- G 3/4" BSP 5/8" - 18 UNF
- Hexagon socket spanner M16 x 200 Protective plastic case
- Pressure gauge 0-25 bar / 0 -250 bar Handling
Before checking or changing the gas filling pressure, the accumulator must be depressurised on the liquid side. Checking or reducing the gas filling pressure In this case, the hose does not need to be connected. The appliance has a non-return valve which prevents gas from escaping via the hose connection.
Increasing the gas filling pressure
When increasing the gas filling pressure, sufficient nitrogen cylinders with the appropriate pressure must be available. If this is not the case, the required higher pressure can be introduced using a nitrogen charging device. The relevant safety regulations must be observed. The nitrogen used should have a purity content of at least 99.8%. Commercially available nitrogen generally fulfils this requirement.
