Patura Frost Protection Thermostat

Description

Patura Frost Protection Thermostat

Basics for connecting heated drinking bowls and heating cables

The thermostat is connected between the socket and the heater. If the temperature falls below a defined level, the system is automatically switched on. As soon as there is no longer a risk of frost, the system switches off again automatically.

The switching criterion for the frost protection thermostat (Ref. 381510) is the air temperature. With the pipe contact thermostat (Ref. 381520), the temperature of the water pipe (= water temperature) is used as the switching criterion.

The investment in thermostats quickly pays for itself, as the heating only runs when required. This saves electricity and, unlike manual switch-on, always ensures that the heating is activated when there is a risk of frost.

Ideally, thermostats should be placed at the coldest point in the barn or building.

Note: 230 V systems should only be installed by a specialist.
