Hertell vacuum pump KD 6500l/min - 1 3/8" 6 teeth
In every KD compressor, the vanes are lubricated automatically by an oil pump - both in the vacuum and pressure phase.
- Top up with oil: The oil is filled into the oil tank via the filler neck E.
- Check the oil level: The oil level is checked daily before use using the oil dipstick C. This prevents the compressor from running dry.
- Oil capacity: The oil tank is sufficient for approx. 4 hours of operation.
Factory setting:
Every compressor is tested before delivery. The drip oiler is adjusted so that it delivers 15 to 20 drops per minute.
Setting the drip oiler:
1. loosen lock nut M
2. regulate the oil flow by turning the adjusting nut N:
- Anticlockwise rotation → Higher oil consumption
- Clockwise rotation → Lower oil consumption
3. retighten lock nut M after adjustment
Gearbox
During the test run, the transmission is filled with oil to the correct level at the factory - visible in sight glass D.
Important: The oil level must never rise above the inspection window!
- Fill with oil: via screw A
- Drain oil: via screw E
- Oil change: after 500 operating hours
Viscosity of vane lubricating oil: ISO VG - 68
Gear oil viscosity: ISO VG - 220
