The Fliegl front packer roller is a solid and extremely wear-resistant implement for seedbed preparation. It creates a seedbed with ideal levelling and guarantees an optimum clod-breaking result.
No hydraulic connections – ready in minutes
This is the point that makes the difference in daily use: no hydraulic connections are required. The roller is hitched and ready for use in just a few minutes.
What this means in practice:
No spool valves occupied. The front spool valves remain free for implements that actually need them – for instance a pneumatic seed drill at the rear.
No coupling, no oil loss, no leaks. Hydraulic couplers are a known weak point in field use: they get dirty, drip, and are difficult to connect with cold oil.
Faster implement changes. Hitch up, set the top link, drive off. Anyone switching between implements several times a day saves noticeable time.
Suitable for older tractors too. A front linkage without additional spool valves is sufficient.
Front mounting – two operations in one pass

The roller has a cutting and pressing action, ensuring effective clod breaking even on heavy soils.
This is the dual mechanism that distinguishes a ring profile roller from a smooth roller:
Cutting – the rings penetrate clods and break them open. A smooth roller would merely press them in.
Pressing – between and beneath the rings the soil is reconsolidated and the capillary water connection restored.
On heavy soils in particular, this combination is decisive: there, clods resist pure pressure, and without a cutting action the seedbed would remain coarse.
Star points – for grassland and catch crops
The robust star points work selectively and massage grassland and catch crop seed excellently into the soil.
This is a distinct application area with its own logic: fine seeds such as grasses, clover and many catch crops must not be placed deep – they are light germinators or lack the reserves to emerge from depth.
